Walthamstow Festival, London, 2006 and Loughton Festival, Essex 2007
My idea for the Wish Ribbon event came from the ancient British custom of tying wish-rags to the branches of particular trees in order to attract luck, love, healing and success. The participants selected a colour ribbon that represented a wish, everyday textiles were thus imbued with meaning and desires became visible and tangible.
